# Installation

## Validator

```bash
python -m venv .venv
source .venv/bin/activate
python -m pip install --upgrade pip
python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
python scripts/validate.py --all
```

On Windows PowerShell, activate the environment with `.venv\Scripts\Activate.ps1`.

## Documentation portal

Use Node.js 24.16.0 or later:

```bash
npm install
npm run dev
```

The development server prints the local URL. The production build is created with:

```bash
npm run build
```

The build output is written to `dist/`, then Pagefind creates the static search index.
